Hello Everyone, Jason Dunbar here again with a few words of wisdom for the newbie Internet Marketer. I am no expert in the Internet Marketing arena, but if you are a newbie I can share with you my experiences.
When I decided to step into the Home Based Business arena, I had very high expectations. All I saw was people making a tremendous amount of money on the Internet and I felt like “Hey, I can do that too”. Why couldn’t I make $10,000 in one week like everyone else on the Internet was? All I had to do was purchase their book, read it and do what they did, right? Not so Right.
After surfing the Internet, I soon learned that everyone had a product, service or information to sell and I seemed to always be a customer. I bought several e-books and took the time to read them, because after all I wanted to be just as successful as these “gurus” were and if they were sharing their “secrets”, I’d better listen. The e-books were great. They were full of much needed information and helped me a great deal, but I then realized something. Up until this time, I was a customer and I came to the realization that in order for me to make a profit, I needed to become a seller.
That’s how these guys were making this money. They were selling something. Whether it was a product, a service or information, something was being sold. I know that it is easy to become overwhelmed with information and it is tempting to purchase all the great products being offered on the Internet, especially if you are new to Internet Marketing, but be careful. Keep in mind that your main goal is to make money, not spend it. Please understand, I am not saying that the information that is available to us is not worth its weight in gold, but remember what your main objective is. If you are anything like me, you want to make a profit. and you want to make it NOW.
The moral of my story is to take your time. My Mother always tells me that good things come to those who wait. I am not saying to just sit around and wait and the money will start rolling in, but if you remain consistent with your efforts, you will reap the rewards. Become an expert in one area. Learn all you can about one particular area before you decide to move on to another. Once you have become an “expert” in one area, then move on to another. Don’t try to learn everything all at once. It’s too much. Internet Marketing is a skill that must be developed.
