Hello everyone, Jason Dunbar back again to talk a little bit about choosing a niche for your Online Business. Choosing your niche can almost dictate how successful your business will be. If you don’t have much Internet Marketing experience, it will be in your best interest to choose a niche that you a very knowledgeable in. It doesn’t matter what it is, as long as it is something that you love AND something that you have plenty of knowledge about. I believe that there is a market for everything, so all you need is something that you love.

Your niche will be your market. The knowledge that you have in regards to your niche is what will determine how successful your Online Business will be. Perfect example, I love to bowl, but I don’t have much knowledge about bowling balls or anything bowling related. All I know how to do is roll the ball down the lane and hit some pins. In this case, bowling is something I love to do, but if I chose bowling as my niche, my business is gauranteed to fail. Make sure that your niche is something that you have plenty of knowledge in, if you want to be successful.

There are plenty of people making money on the Internet so there will be competition. Remember this, usually whoever is the most knowledgeable, makes the most money, usually. When you choose your niche, you must constantly learn more and stay in touch with what is going on in your niche. You don’t want to be left behind. You must always stay up to date and be aware of the newest trends in your market. Remember, people will be looking at your website for information and you must keep them satisfied by always providing relevant information.

Some niches are saturated and some are barely touched. If you choose a niche that is barely touched, you will have much less competition, but there might not be a great demand for what you have to offer. If your niche is saturated, there will be much more competition and a greater demand for what you have to offer, but you will have to make a name for yourself. How is this accomplished? Knowledge. Relevant content on your website and a few other things that I won’t get into right now.

Take your time when choosing your niche because this will be what your business is all about. You can’t run a business that you know nothing about, especially on the Internet. Maybe a brick and mortar business can survive for a little while under these circumstances because you can hire someone who knows what they are doing, but on the Net, you are all on your own.

Choose your niche wisely, It will make you or break you.

Hello everyone, it’s Jason Dunbar again. In an earlier post I wrote a little bit about the difference between prospecting and promoting. Since writing that post I have come across a fantastic article about the difference between marketing vs. promoting and I just want to share it with everyone.
Although the two may seem the same, there is a difference. It seems as though the difference is YOU. That’s right, YOU. It all depends on how you feel about the product, service or information you have to offer. Let me ask you this, Do you really believe in your product? Do you feel that your product is really GREAT and people need it? Is your product better than other products in the same category and are you willing to do reaserch to see the best way for your product to get in the hands of those who need it? If the answer to these questions is YES, then you are a marketer. If No is your answer, then most likely your a promoter.
Please understand, I am not passing judgement on anyone because there is a place for all of us in this world wide web. Personally, I have been both a marketer and a promoter, until I realized the difference. In one of my traditional mlm companies, all I ever did was talk about my product and how it was soooooo great and how I was going to be the one to make a difference in sooooo many peoples lives. All I did was eat, sleep and drink (hint) my product. I became my product because I believed in it so much that I told everyone about it and I did great with that company. I was a true marketer.
After my great experience with this company, It was time for me to move on to bigger and better things, so I decided to get involved with a different company with my mind already made up that I have what it takes to be succesful in mlm, after all I was already succesful. Well, I did not do well with my new company at all because I did not feel passionate about my product. I did promote my product because I HAD to in order to make a profit, but I wasn’t really hooked on it. I feel as though all I really did was promote my business opportunity because I wasn’t sold on my product. If you were not interested in getting involved in my business, I kept it moving, without ever mentionining my product. I wasn’t succesful at all.

Hello everyone, Jason Dunbar here to talk a little bit more about Social Networking. Today it is expected to be well over 100 degrees outside so I will definitely be doing some work indoors. I guess this will be a fantastic time to do a little maintenance on my on my Social Networking Sites. I am a member of a few and I plan to bring those up to date and maybe join one more site.

I have long been told about how Social Networking can drive plenty of traffic to your site, but I am now beginning to reap the rewards. So far for me, this traffic seems to grow exponentially because my traffic is growing at a high rate of speed. Website traffic is something that ALL Internet Marketers NEED and Social Networking sites are a great place to introduce yourself to the world and express who you are while getting traffic to your website. But, it isn’t all fun and games, or is it?

If you are a very social person, then Networking on the Internet should be a great experience for you, but if you are like me, it might be a little bit harder. Honestly, I am not that much of a Social Networker. I never have been and I probably never will be. Wait, let me elaborate on that. Prior to me becoming an Internet Marketer, I didn’t do any chatting on the Internet. Maybe I would send a few e-mails here and there but no real networking. Now that I am an Internet Marketer and I have realized the power behind Social Networking, I have Implemented it into my daily routine for the sake of my business. Getting to make new friends online is great, but just not my thing. Social Networking for me is 95% Networking and 5% Social.

Networking online is a great tool to help expose your business and brand yourself, but you must be very careful because many people can smell a salesperson right away, so you gotta be you. Promote yourself, not your business. Remember, this why they call it Social Networking and not a business meeting. In order for Social Networking to be an asset to your business, you must do it right.

How to properly apply Social Networking to build your business by branding yourself will be the subject of my next article. I promise it will be full of valuable information.

Hello everyone, Jason Dunbar back again with another article on Time Management.  In my last article I wrote that there really isn’t a such thing as time management, but rather a system of how to manage what you do in the time you have.  Remember, we cannot create time, therefore we can’t manage it.

After writing the last article on Time Management, I decided to come up with a schedule of my daily activities in order to better manage the things I do in the time I have.  I am not really a very busy person and I don’t have a laundry list of things to do on a daily basis.  My only real responsibility is to get up in the morning and to go to bed in the evening.  What a life.  Anyway, I came up with a schedule to try to best utilize my time and on paper, it looked great, but when I tried to put my plan into action, it was a failure.

First things first, you need to a little bit about yourself and the things you need to do.  For example, are you a morning person or an evening person?  If you must travel from place to place, what are the traffic conditions and can you make any time adjustments?  Also, another very important thing is, can you multitask or can you give certain tasks to someone else.  Trying to everything yourself seems to big a big problem with most entrepreneurs.  Do not be afraid to give some tasks to others.

After evaluating your situation and drafting a schedule, put it into action.  You will begin to realize that maybe you do some things better in the morning  and other things better in the afternoon or evening.  This is where you begin to make changes to your new schedule to customize it just for you.  Remember, not everyone is the same therefore choosing to follow a basic schedule probably won’t work.  You need a customized schedule that will incorporate your specific needs and lifestyle.  Tweaking your schedule to perfection will probably never happen because sometimes life just gets in the way, but having a foundation is the key to staying on track.

As far as my failing schedule, today was only day one and all I was able to follow correctly was get out the bed at 5:00 a.m.  After that, it was down hill from there.  Anyway, I will do some tweaking this evening and hopefully things will begin to look up.  I will keep ou posted on how things go but in the meantime, if you do not have some type of schedule or time management system in place, I suggest you give it some serious thought.

Anyone who has been involved in an MLM, Network Marketing, or other online business knows that there is unlimited potential for income in these arenas. But not everyone knows how to grab it. Two critical components of any successful internet marketing plan are branding and duplication.

Branding, Webster’s New Millenium dictionary defines this as: “in marketing, the use of logos, symbols, or product design to promote consumer awareness of goods and services.”

What exactly does that mean to your network marketing business? It means that it is simply not enough to “sell” your program or company. You must sell the whole package, which includes YOU. You, as the sponsor, mentor, supporter or your team as the sponsoring team, mentoring team, and supporting/supportive team.

How do you “brand” yourself online? You make yourself available and transparent. Have your picture on any site you can. Create a “who is” page where your prospect can go to “meet” you. They can learn about your history and what you have to offer them. Don’t worry if you don’t personally have a ton of experience, you must have access to people who have experience, or possibly the team you’ve joined has a large amount of experience. This is called branding. I have my number, e-mail address, and website on every e-mail.

Now that you have branded yourself, you need to make yourself duplicatable. You need to make sure that your prospects can duplicate what you do.

Duplication is what makes your new members successful. No one wants to reinvent the wheel and no one wants to feel completely alone and that they have to figure things out on their own. Make sure that what you are doing can be done by your new members as well.

If you are offering something so outrageous that only you can offer it, then you are doing your new members an injustice. What will happen is that no one will want to join your new members they will only want to join you - so you will be successful until word gets out that no one who joined with you was able to duplicate your success.

Yes, you need to offer something of yourself, and that obviously can’t be duplicated. But don’t offer such a huge discount that no one else will be able to afford to give someone that same discount - thereby guaranteeing that anyone is going to want to join with you instead. Don’t offer so much assistance in advertising (offering $1000 in advertising to get them started) that no one else can do the same - very few people JUST getting started can offer this. Instead, offer training, offer support, and offer some reasonable amounts of advertising help.

To recap, two critical steps to your success with an online business are branding and duplication. Branding means to make YOU and what you stand for clear and easily found online.

To make yourself duplicatable, make sure that whatever you are doing (advertising, offering advertising help, etc…) is not of such a huge magnitude that no one else can also offer the same thing, and therefore taking new members away from your members and guaranteeing their failure.

If you are not familiar with affiliate marketing was introduced to affiliate marketing by accident one day when I was trying to figure out how to build my network marketing business while it was still in pre-launch. Affiliate Marketing has been around for years now and in my opinion its getting better and better. Although I haven’t been an affiliate marketer for very long, I am making a significant income on the internet. I am learning all I can from the Super affiliate marketers who have been doing this for years. Affiliate Marketing is great for those who want the freedom of working at home. I am marketing on a part time basis and its great.

So, what exactly is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing is a web-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s marketing efforts. Basically, a company will allow you to market their products or service for FREE. In return for your marketing efforts, the company will pay you for every sale you make. It’s that simple.

I have been marketing for only a few companies that seem to have a great reputation AND great products. Although I am still learning the ins and outs of affiliate marketing, the training and support provided by these companies is fantastic. I actually made my very first, second and third sale in my first month with only the tools and instructions provided to me by the company. That was the easiest money I have ever made. After that, I was hooked.

I am an Internet Marketer and I make my money on the Internet. I would recommend for anyone looking for an additional stream of income or looking to start a business online to take a serious look at affiliate marketing.

Hello Everyone, Jason Dunbar back again to share my thoughts about Social Networking.  I am a firm believer in Social Networking when it comes to building a business.  Meeting the right people could actually be the difference between success and failure, especially as a newbie.  As a newbie you must meet the right people in order to learn the necessary skills and to gain access to much needed resources for your business to grow.  Social Networking takes the footwork out of this because the right people are always just a click away.  I can’t stress the importance of making friends and creating a network of resources to help you grow.  In the process, you will be helping the next generation of entrepreneurs because the same way you were help, it will your turn to help out.

Social Networking sites are poping up all over the place so I am careful when I decide to join a new site.  I do my research by finding out which sites my mentors are on.  Yes, my mentors.  My online friends who have helped me along the way and have contributed to my success.  Currently, I have a few mentors who I follow on a daily basis.  I read as many of their blogs and posts on forums and whatever else I can do to learn from them because they have established themselves to me as experts.  This is what compelled me to write this article today.

I was introduced to a site called Twitter.  I have heard of this site in the past, but I never took the time out to actually take a look at it.  As I am learning the importance of Social Networking sites, and I read about Twitter though one of my mentors, I will be taking a much closer look at it within the next few days.

I am currently a member of 4 Social Networking sites I will be using my weekend to optimize these sites and take a look at Twitter.  I do not have time now, but I will soon be talking about WSO and what it can do for you as an Internet Marketer.  Stay tuned for my up and coming Twitter experience.

Hello Everyone, Jason Dunbar is back again to share a few of my thoughts. Although I do have a full time job, I have been able to cut out all of the extra hours I was working thanks to my Home Based Internet Business. I am an entrepreneur and I am making money on the Internet, but it is not as easy as I thought it would be. Although I love working from the comfort of my own home, it is a greater challenge than I ever expected it to be.

Let me be more specific. Working from home is very relaxing because I have no distractions, I have no children and I recently relocated to another state where I do not know anyone so my days and nights belong to me. That’s the problem. I have too much time on my hands. I think many people wish they had the same problem.

This may sound crazy, but I have so much time on my hands, that I don’t seem to get too much work done. Where does all of the time go. I need to learn to manage my time, but is there such a thing. Can time be managed? There are only 24 hours in a day, no matter what you need to get done. How doo you manage something that you have no control over? Think about it, how can you possibly manage time?

I have come to the conclusion that you can’t manage time, end of story. But you can manage what you do in the time you have. To some it may sound the same, but it is really totally different. I do not have control over time, but I do have control over what I do in the time I have. I call that a schedule. Working from home and having the freedom of not being on someone else’s schedule is great, but if you are not disciplined enough to follow your own schedule, you are doomed.

Setting a schedule and following it is a must when you are working from home. A To-Do List, a Day Planner or any other means of help with regards to keeping track of your daily activities is very necessary if you want to succeed in a Home Based Business, especially if you are your only employee. Sometimes it is so easy to get caught up in other things that before you know it, half the day has gone by and nothing has been done. Therefore you put of what can be done today, for tomorrow. This vicious cycle begins again the next day and before you know it, the week has gone by and nothing has changed. How many times have you taken a week of from work and did absolutely nothing, until the last two days. I am guilty of that. Actually, I am a repeat offender.

Well, it’s time for me to go. I have been home all day and all I did was sit down and write this little article for my fellow entrepreneurs out there who might be going through the same things I am going through. By the way, the time is 9:47pm. I rest my case.
